when the alarm sound
goes off at your selected time, click the alarm off button to stop it. Hint: if the alarm clock is left foremost on your desktop, you need only hit any key to switch off the alarm sound; (i recommend the spacebar 'cos its the easiest to find first thing in the morning...) | ||||||

when HAL 9000 is selected,
every hour, colonel's alarm clock will randomly select one of 16 sampled 'hal quotes'. when Sound is selected, every hour colonel's alarm clock will play the sound selected in the sound selecta dialogue box below. | |||||

| Details system requirements: windows 95 or higher 100 mhz pentium processor or higher sound card + speakers 16 Mb RAM or higher 3.5 Mb Hard disk space no ordinary alarm clock, it comes complete with a selection of weird and (not so) wonderful alarm sounds and samples to get you offa yer ass! you can also choose any of your own wav files as an alarm sound, so get creative with your wake up call! that's not all! if you want, every hour it will randomly select and play any of 16 sampled quotes from hal 9000, the computer in stanley kubricks film '2001 a space odyssey' (the colonel's #1 fave pic). alternatively, choose one of your own sounds, if you've never been impressed by arther c clarke's vision of post millenium technolgy (philistine!). now, you need never run up a phone bill over using the internet, be late for that all important interview 'cos you've been hypnotized by some freaky email (it can happen...), or miss that all important om gig 'cos you're too busy playing tomb raider III... the colonel's alarm clock is here to save the day! Download instructions the software comes in a zip file, if you don't have winzip, click here to download (free... and very useful) 1. click the download link below, choose, 'save to disk' when prompted, and choose a convenient place on your computer to save the file. 2. When the download is complete, open the zip file and run the installer file (alarm.exe) by double clicking on it, and the installer will do the rest, just follow the instructions and prompts. once installed, the alarm clock will start. click on the title screen to start the alarm clock. you can run the alarm clock at any time by choosing it from Start/Programs/Alarm Clock/Colonel's Alarm Clock you can uninstall it any time by choosing Start/Programs/Alarm Clock/Uninstall alarm clock | ||||
