| rehearsal's are been underway for a performance
on fiday july 15 at the dublin castle in camden.top the dublin castle, 94 parkway, camden neasest tube: camden town friday 15th july, doors open 8.45pm ambassadors onstage approx 10.00pm support bands: supersonica, lewd, the alps £4.50 with flyer / £6 without get reduced entry with this flyer toporiginal om reform rehearsal's have been underway with the 'original' om members, wah, dub j, the colonel, and dred jes. we've all been too busy with other stuff to organize anything ourselves, but gigin possibilities are on the horizon... topreturn of the colonel the colonel is to return to north london, where work will begin on a collection of om material, with the possibility of distribution through the internet. after a long break while the colonel has been traveling around europe, om have undergone a reinvention, and new material is in the pipeline. all this in response to wah's email to the colonel: 'colonel doobey doo where are you? we've got some tunes to do now!' let's big it up in y2k! topwe are still looking for a manager, if you or someone you know might be interested, let us know! |

brother peter's raygun 'reform' om ridim consultant ab has been pretty busy on the gigin front, performing with newly formed jazz band pacific, gigin with stuff, and also playin in a new band which - minus sev - is almost brother peter's raygun reformed. its been a while since these old om pals have gigged together, but which one's peter, and how did this monk aquire a license to carry lazer powered firearms? |

wednesday 7.7.99 The band is called pacific (named after the american 40's/50's jazz label which was the home to chet baker - (nicely involved reference that one). production is underway for the promo video for space 1999 to be directed directed by paul bussey. glen alexander of the puppet centre trust has begun designing a marionette for 'the millenium bug', and it looks just groovy baby! |

| june 99 | admiral ab gigin' with half of the egg om ridim consultant ab will be playing with maff and ned of the egg ('britain's techno giants' - time out) on saturday 19 june 1999 at brockwell park festival. the final track for the forthcoming om cd 'the people like to be fooled so let them be fooled' has been completed. this track has taken the longest time to complete out of all om songs, maybe cos of its name 'hole', which the om machine fell into. the cd will probably be released via the internet by y2k-music.com, thus bypassing the music industry shenanigans completely ("the music industry is the most sexist and racist industry of all" - Billy Bragg) tracks featured: depth charger *

may 99 | om site to affiliate with 'the dub spot' @ koolout.com an affiliation with koolout.com -a site boadcast on the net to over 30,000 visitors weekly- with our om site is currently being worked out. 'the dub spot' is a show @ koolout.com with jamaican grooves past and present. new member joins the ranks of om programmer, musician and hedonist, admiral ab will be performing live and recording with om in our future excursions, and you can judge his tamborine shaking ability in our forthcoming cd for yourself. returning from his european tour with the euphonics, ab has joined the ranks of om in a mainly percussive field... though his talents will no doubt extend their influence to other vital om missions, particularly since the colonel (yours truely) has gone to work in spain for a few months. a reworking of the line up for forthcoming live gigs is underway, and possibitlies for including a trombonist in the set up are being 'considered'. |

march 99 | space 1999 is released as part of a compilation 'cult themes of the 70s vol 2' CAT: FLEG 12 CDmarch 22 99 future legend records so far the cd has recieved a lot of airplay and press: radio one (john peel), virgin radio (chris evans), xfm, jazz fm melody maker, Q, total film, record buyer, record mart, and more we don't know about. if you see or hear about the cd somewhere not listed here, let us know! |
